North House Folk School

Today I’m heading to Grand Marais, MN to the North House Folk School where I’ll take two knitting classes. The first one is about knitting socks and the second one is designing my own ‘northern’ sweater.  Each class is one full day in the building pictured above. Last year we traveled to Grand Marais because my hubs took a Rosemaling class. I’m looking forward to being up along the North Shore of Minnesota. It is such a different world than the Twin Cities. I’m a little nervous about the drive with all of the flooding that has occurred in those parts recently. They say the roads are open and ‘come on up!’ so that’s what I’ll do. This image is from May, 2011. The big difference this time is that my book is done already so I don’t have to worry about that! More later, Jenny
