Announcing the Fiber Art Almanac Companion Journal!

2014 Journal Amazon Cover rev1

All along I have wanted to create two types of Almanac books. Primarily because of all of the work that goes into developing the product from the initial conversations with the artists to the immense amounts of photography and book design, it seems like such a shame to put all of that beautiful art work and blood, sweat and tears into something whose lifespan is so brief. It’s a lovely piece and couldn’t be more carefully worked on to keep all hopes and aspirations of a well received product in the marketplace intact.

So with the creation of an open dated book, I’m hoping that there will be a longer time frame (good reason) for this book to remain on the shelves of retailers thus gaining more exposure for the work that all of us have put into it. As the Almanac evolves into its rightful place it will take a new shape undoubtedly. From this vantage point, and there are many vantage points along the road, I see the Almanac as a printed art exhibit. Textile and fiber art is just at the cusp of wondrous experimentation. Right now there is easy openness to the collaboration, not much artistic angst and its doesn’t cost a fortune to get started. In short, it’s a good vibe.

The business part: It’s here and available on this website by using the PayPal button and it’s also listed on Amazon. Link are all over the front of the website.
Blessings abound,
