Say, Isn’t that a Man’s Tie You Are Wearing?

(Baraboo, WI) — Say, Isn’t that a Man’s Tie You Are Wearing?

A THREADED STREAMS FIBER ARTS TRAIL WEEKEND WORKSHOP

We’ll transform men’s silk ties into snazzy artsy neck pieces, worn similar to a necklace that you just pull over your head. Using bits and pieces of fabrics, embroidery techniques, old laces, charms, or whatever your heart desires, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

What I will bring: I’ll provide plenty of already tied silk ties, a myriad of ephemera (fabrics, embroidery threads, sewing thread, words snipped from old t-shirts, buttons, etc.) you may use to embellish your tie. I’ll bring samples and visuals of ties I have created.

What you can bring: Imagination, your own scissors, and any special bits and pieces you want to incorporate into your one-of-a-kind wearable art tie. You are certainly welcome to bring your own tie – maybe a special tie of dad’s or grandpa’s or other family members or friends.
