Dear Friends,

Our theme for the annual weekend event on the Threaded Streams Fiber Arts Trail is ‘experience your own creativity’. Trail members are offering numerous workshops and additional events throughout the weekend that encourage fiber enthusiasts to slow down, engage in a new learning experience and enjoy some time away from the daily flow.

The assortment of workshops is broad. Our experienced group of makers has depth of knowledge in their particular areas of expertise whether its sewing, needle arts, dyeing fabric, weaving and running a creative business; just to quickly name a few.

It’s exciting that Char and Mariella, sisters who co-own Helen’s Daughters, are teaching the subject matter of how to run a fiber arts business. The workshops are “The Business of Fiber Art”, “Marketing Your Business on an Android Phone” and “The Art of Event Planning.” Mariella is teaching “12 X 12: Framing Your Fiber Art Work”. There should be Continuing Ed credits for these classes! Mariella’s framing class is a must for anyone who wants to exhibit their work in mainstream arts exhibits. Not all galleries understand the traditional method of hanging a quilt and some clearly prefer a framed piece.

Here is description and details for the workshops taught by Char and Mariella. Please note: to register for the workshops, please contact Char terBeest Kudla at Char’s email address
