I am an artist, designer, teacher, writer, and editor.
Playing with color is my passion, whether I am creating art quilts, beadwork, or other fiber art.
I have been beading for over 20 years and have taught nationally at BeadFest and Bead & Button. I currently teach a national correspondence class on beading through the Embroiderer’s Guild of America.
Prior to 2009, I was primarily designing and making beaded jewelry, creating bead kits from my designs, teaching beading nationally, and writing about beading. Since 2009, I have have been making art quilts and other fiber art. I had discovered machine thread painting and free motion quilting, and those techniques are what drew me to quilting.
I love combining hand and machine work. I usually add beading to my art quilts and fiber art, most frequently bead embroidery. I also love embroidering with thread and yarns, and I am now adding machine thread painting and/or free motion quilting to much of my art.
