Grafton Arts Mill

Arts Mill Studios, Gallery and Boutique

Welcome to the Arts Mill Gallery & Boutique. The Arts Mill is situated in the historic Grafton Mill and houses more than fourteen artists’ studios.  These working studios (located on the 2nd floor) are nestled around a central boutique which features a variety of unique items from local and regional artists.

We are open for events and private parties on our beautifully renovated 3rd floor. For more information on leasing studio space, displaying your merchandise in our boutique or renting our room for your next party, please contact Paula DeStefanis at paulac@northshoreacademyofthearts.org.

We work in collaboration with the North Shore Academy of the Arts, a non-profit organization (located in Grafton, WI) offering programming in the visual, literary and performing arts.

Our History

The Arts Mill - Grafton, WI

The Arts Mill – Grafton, WI

North Shore Academy of the Arts (NSAA) began in a quaint space in an old mill next to a river. Three rooms, a hand-built stage, and a few classes. As the years went on, offerings in the visual, performing and literary arts grew, offering quality enrichment programming to thousands of kids and adults in southeastern Wisconsin. A place that encourages, inspires and promotes creativity, NSAA has been an educational resource for those wishing to learn about the arts and themselves.

But after the learning, every artist also needs a place to do her art.

2011 marked the start of a new decade of programming, and it also kicked off an exciting new expansion, one that has brought this non-profit organization full circle.

What Makes The Arts Mill Unique?

The Arts Mill Studios - Grafton, WI

The Arts Mill Studios – Grafton, WI

Housed in the Grafton Historic Mill, two flights up from where they began, the Arts Mill boasts a place for artists to do their art. A cooperative environment, artists have an opportunity to secure a space among other artists. Open to the public, it fosters a cultural appreciation of the arts in our communities. Community members can visit the second floor and watch artists in work. Students from NSAA are able to pursue mentoring opportunities with these professional artists. The space is also home to the Arts Mill Boutique, where local artists sell their work to promote the arts and the organization.

The third floor is a beautiful gallery, home to art shows and special events. It is shared withBalancing Arts Yoga Studio, which offers holistic movement classes that compliment the creative process of performing, visual and literary artists.

Visit the Arts Mill. Feel the creativity within the historic walls. Watch an artist at work.  Shop for one of a kind gifts.  Enjoy an event.  Become inspired.
