Lodi Alpacas at Whistling Valley Farm
Jan Clingman, owner of Lodi Alpacas, plans to open a new luxury fiber arts center and retail store called La Pachamama in 2017. La Pachamama will be housed in a historic barn located on the main corridor that runs through the City of Lodi. Named after the Inca goddess of fertility, La Pachamama is literally translated as “World Mother” but usually translated as “Mother Earth” and signifies the interconnection the goddess has with nature. The new store will be a larger version of Lodi Alpaca’s current on-farm alpaca retail store and will include space for instructional classes in fiber arts, painting, photography, and cooking.
