There is always a lot to do. My list feels all encompassing this week with Christmas in two days (one day almost!), family and friends stopping by tomorrow, our youngest returning home after a year gone. Yes, it’s still the same old place with a few new details. The downstairs bathroom is DONE and ready for use after a number of years in the planning and work stages. Fresh carpet throughout with gates at the doors in an effort to keep the pets corralled except when supervised!

And here I am writing my first new post since the Midwest Fiber Arts Trails was launched! I couldn’t wait one more minute to say Welcome to the Midwest Fiber Arts Trails and thank you for subscribing to this new journal!

This new Fiber Arts Trails adventure thrills me! Travel and write. There’s a happy combination of two fabulous activities if I ever heard of one!

Through the Midwest Fiber Arts Trails, I hope to inspire you with the tremendous depth and quality of fiber and textile art made by Midwestern artists. Place is such an important part of our creative expression. How does the great expanse of the American Midwest challenge and inspire textile art and design?

Here’s to future inspiration and good will!  –Jenny
