Along the Mississippi

Thinking more about winter than fiber art today so while I was sifting through the photo archives, I came across these images of winter in northern Minnesota. I enjoy winter immensely. This image is of the Mississippi River winding its way through the Crow Wing State Forest along County Road 11. That’s near Crosby, MN. The ‘Mighty Miss’ seems so narrow and small up here but just 75 miles downstream it begins to resemble its nickname.

Birch

Further up the county road, there’s a turn off and this is where these lovely birch can be found. Now I feel like knitting!!
