About Lake Koshonong Fiber & Livestock, LLC

We are a family farm and raise alpacas, Angora goats and merino sheep so that we can harvest their fiber and produce beautiful yarns and other fiber products. We like to use the term ‘Farm to Needle” to describe our business model.

We reside just outside the town of Edgerton, Wisconsin. Amongst the rolling hills and scattered lakes, our barn and pastures are happy havens for goats, alpacas, chickens and the llamas protecting them.

Living on a farm is an experience we wanted as a family. A fateful day at an alpaca open house cemented the idea, and we forged a home for some new tenants.

We maybe weren’t expecting them to capture our hearts so swiftly, or so profoundly, but in no time at all they became our family. Our animals give their all and we return the favor, endeavoring to bring them as much happiness as they give us.

Our animals are pasture-raised and grass-fed, and the fiber and milk products are all natural.

We have hand spun and hand dyed natural fiber to be used for spinning, felting, knit and crochet or weaving. We have a large quantity of fiber in our retail store on site at our farm. You can meet the animal your fiber came from!

We sell yarn, roving, hand dyed yarn, as well as finished garments such as sweaters, hats and scarves in our Farm Store. The store is open Saturday 10:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.

We shear our animals, process their raw fleece into roving, yarn and felted sheets. We specialize in fiber for the following types of needle and woven arts:

  • Crochet
  • Dyeing
  • Felting
  • Knitting
  • Spinning
  • Weaving
