Willow Wood Market Designs
2017 marks our 20th year of providing fiber arts enthusiasts a warm, relaxed atmosphere where we instill a love of fiber, quilting and stitching. We feature quilt patterns from our favorite designers as well as our original design patterns for needle felting, wool applique, stitcheries, rug hooking, and traditional pieced projects. We offer the kits to make them, or we have all the supplies you need if you would like to create your own. Whichever you choose, enjoy your time browsing through our website. We hope to provide you with the inspiration you need to get started on a new project.
We carry many beautiful prints and homespuns from Moda and Diamond Textiles, but our passion is wool! We have well over 200 beautiful mill dyed wools in solids and wonderful textures and plaids. We also hand dye our own wool. The colors we’ve created are both unique and gorgeous and they coordinate perfectly with our cottons.
Bonnie is a featured designer in the new Wool Works Magazine! Her ‘Fall Welcome’ pattern is a combination of rug hooking and applique. The pattern is available in the magazine. Click on the above link to purchase a copy of the magazine or contact Bonnie about getting a copy from her.
Working with my hands calms my mind and brings me to a less complicated time. When I create, I see the hands of my mother, aunts and grandmother. The connection is strong to these hard working Scandinavian farm women who lovingly made useful and practical clothing, rugs and quilts as well as beautiful and intricate hardanger and crocheted pieces, all by using simple tools and materials. My designs are my tribute to honor these amazing women.
Bonnie Lundorff began her fiber arts journey when she was a young mom designing and making small framed quilts, selling them at shows, gift shops and galleries all over MN and North Dakota. In 1997 Lundorff opened Willow Wood Market, a quilt shop and fiber arts studio in a small cabin in the woods with no experience and a very strong desire to instill a love of quilting and stitching to anyone who came through the door. She now teaches and presents trunks shows of her designs at her shop and at fiber related events all over the upper Midwest.
Bonnie and her husband Tim live south of Bemidji, have three grown daughters, two sons in law, 5 beautiful grandchildren and one cranky little 15 year old dog.
Please note: Bonnie’s shop is located just off US Hwy 71 on Hubbard County Rd 9 just south of Bemidji. Sometimes Google Maps will take you north of Bemidji…
